Para Na (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Para Na mobile application and website (collectively, the “Service”).
By using Para Na, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
- •Location Data: With your permission, we collect GPS coordinates while you actively use passenger signaling, driver map, and nearby-driver features.
- •Device ID: We store an anonymous device identifier in your browser to manage active signals, push notifications, and deletion requests related to that device.
- •Account Information: If you sign in with Google or Facebook, we receive basic account information such as your name, email address, and profile photo from the login provider.
- •Push Notification Data: If you enable notifications, we store your browser push subscription, device ID, and role.
- •Usage Analytics: We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand app usage, reliability, and usability.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- • Provide and improve the Para Na Service
- • Show active passenger signals and live map presence to relevant app users
- • Send notifications you have enabled, such as passenger expiry reminders or driver re-engagement reminders
- • Monitor and analyze usage patterns to improve reliability and features
- • Ensure the security and reliability of the Service
- • Communicate service updates and announcements
4. Location Data
Para Na requires access to your device's location for passenger signaling, driver map, and nearby-driver features. Active passenger signals are shown for up to 10 minutes unless extended. Cancelled signals are deleted, and expired signals may remain briefly until cleanup.
We do not sell, rent, or share your location data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:
- •Relevant app users: Your active location is shared only while location-sharing features are active.
- •Service Providers: Supabase, Vercel, OpenStreetMap, OpenWeatherMap, Google/Facebook OAuth, Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, and Google AdSense help us operate the app and website under their own privacy practices.
- •Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
6. Data Retention
Active passenger signals are shown for up to 5 minutes unless extended. Cancelled signals are deleted, and expired signals may remain briefly until cleanup. Live location presence is used while location-sharing features are active and is removed or treated as stale when sharing stops. Push subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Account information is retained until you request deletion or the account is otherwise removed.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- • Access the personal data we hold about you
- • Request correction of inaccurate data
- • Request deletion of your data
- • Withdraw consent for location access at any time via your device settings
- • Turn off push notifications in the app or your browser/device settings
8. Government and Public-Sector Collaboration
If Para Na works with government agencies, transport groups, researchers, or public-sector partners, our default approach is to share only aggregated or anonymized insights, such as demand counts by time, vehicle type, or general area. We do not provide individual account details, device IDs, or exact personal location records for planning or reporting purposes.
9. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.
10. Account and Data Deletion Requests
We do not currently provide self-service account deletion inside the app. You may request deletion of your account and associated app data at any time by emailing info@para-na.com from the address linked to your account, or by including enough information for us to verify the request.
Deletion requests may include authentication data, active passenger signals associated with your account or device, push notification subscriptions, and reminder records. Some data may be retained when required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or backup integrity. We will process verified deletion requests within 30 days and send a confirmation when complete.
11. Children's Privacy
Para Na is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.
12. Third-Party Advertising
We use third-party advertising companies, including Google AdSense, to serve ads when you visit this website. These companies may use information (not including your name, address, email address, or telephone number) about your visits to this and other websites to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you.
Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this and/or other websites. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new policy on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
